Heart4Data Talent Program: mentorship & fellowship call

The ambition of the HEART4DATA consortium is to train and develop the talents of future leaders in cardiovascular care and research. Therefore, the consortium consortium aims to provide various opportunities to stimulate and support talented researchers and cardiologists specialised in heart failure and atrium fibrillation in the Netherlands as they move forward in their career.

Mentorship

The Heart4Data consortium aims to set up a mentorship program. An experienced mentor within the cardiovascular field will be linked with a talented researcher of cardiologist for 1:1 sessions.

Fellowship

The ambition of the Heart4Data consortium is to train and develop the talents of future leaders in cardiovascular research, offering different opportunities to stimulate and support them in the next steps in their career.

Events

Workshops about registry-based research, a yearly (online) conference for all healthcare professionals, contribution to the DCVA conference and leadership program.

Fellowship

New: Open call for cardiovascular fellowship research projects

We are very pleased to announce the second Heart4Data consortium cardiovascular fellowship call application. This program will be an opportunity to develop research skills in registry-based research in the cardiovascular area. The most outstanding project proposals will be awarded funding to perform their research, including funding to support their own personal research costs.

For this call we have budget available for three award-winning project proposals, the total budget for the call that is available is €75.000. Deadline for submission is February 14th 2025, with a latest starting date September 1st 2025.

Fellowship call 2024: announcement winners & pitches

The first Heart4Data fellowship call has started in april 2024. Three award-winning project proposals have been selected during the National Heart Failure week.

Ruben de Winter, Tessa Duk and Mick Hoen (Teamed up with Marielle Wilde, not in de recording) pitched their winning proposals in a short video. More information and these video’s can be found here

Events: Workshops and conferences

  • Workshops will cover one or more parts of the process of registry-based research. They’ll vary from practical sessions including data harmonisation, standardisation and data analysis of registry-based data.
  • The Heart4Data consortium will organise a yearly (online) conference for all healthcare professionals contributing to the HF and AF registry to show them what can be done with the data that is collected.
  • Heart4Data will stimulate consortium participants to join and present at the DCVA conference.
  • The talent coordinator will scout and direct talents to participate in the DCVA leadership program.
