This paper, recently published in the Netherlands Heart Journal, describes how the Nederlandse Hart Registratie (NHR) developed an integrated patient-centered cardiac care registry over a period of five years. This achievement was accomplished by collaborating with mandated cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons in the so-called registry committees, who systematically evaluated the quality of care using real-world data. As a result, the NHR now comprises six committees, achieves data completeness of over 95%, and involves the participation of 71 Dutch hospitals. Read the full article here.
